NieR: Automata SAVED Gaming By Ignoring the TOXIC Western Industry

NieR: Automata was created to appeal to Japanese players and not Western sensibilities, creator Yoko Taro has confirmed in a recent interview. Staying true to what makes a game resonate with Japanese audiences, from a Japanese studio, has been hyper popular since the establishment of video gaming, but some creators have lost sight of this.

Former PlayStation Boss Shuhei Yoshida takes his praise of the game even further, claiming it revitalized and saved the entire Japanese market in 2017 and 8 years on, it's hard to argue against that stance!
