In 2023, a home health worker called 911 to report that five adopted Black children, then between the ages of five and sixteen, were being subjected to horrific abuse. White West Virginia couple Jeanne Whitefeather and Donald Lantz have now been given the maximum punishment for treating the children as slaves.
