Donald Trump's Policies Are CRIPPLING American Tourism

In 2017, The ‘Trump Slump’, as it has become known, is alive and well. Since President Trump took office, the numbers show, tourists just aren’t as keen on visiting the United States.

Now in, 2025, the Trump administration’s multi-front tariff wars and escalating rhetoric are turning off international tourists, according to a growing body of travel data.

The Independent newspaper, citing European travel agencies, informs that among the factors influencing tourists’ decision not to visit the United States are ‘the White House head’s questioning [of the viability] of the US-European alliance, the proposal to annex Greenland’, participation in the global trade war and tightening of border and visa policies, persecution of illegal migrants.
