Team Profiles: Set G Season 2 Episode 1 | Rhyperior
Season 2 Episode 2 of Team Profiles: Set G will be about Rhyperior.
Rhyperior is a Rock/Ground Pokemon introduced in Generation 4 as an evolution to Rhydon. Given Rhydon's fame as "the first pokemon", Pokemon did not fail to give it support. A signature Rock-Type move with 150 base power, 50% Special Defense in the sand, Lightning Rod and Solid Rock, this thing has it all.
Rhyperior serves as a counter for devastating Electric-Types. Being able to redirect their STAB'ed Electric moves and nullify them with its Ground Type gives you a lot of agency in your other core slots. Generally this is the nature of balance. Having a Pokemon that counters specific powerful strategies and being able to put generally powerful Pokemon in your remaining core slots. Fire and Grass will be the more powerful type combination for those slots as Fire and Grass are a good type combination paired together.
Thank you for listening and I hope you continue to support my work.
