For the first couple of weeks a baby Elephants eyesight is not the best, in a way you can say they are practically blind, mainly seeing only blurry movements. This is one of the reasons why Elephants will be more on "edge" than usual if a newborn is in the heard. Luckily the baby can identify mom with sounds, touch and smell. #elephant #baby
