The raising of Lazarus from the dead is one of the most powerful miracles performed by Jesus, recorded in John 11:1-44.

Key Lessons from Lazarus’ Resurrection
1. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life
When Martha expressed her sorrow, Jesus told her:
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” (John 11:25)
This miracle demonstrates that Jesus has authority over death itself.
2. God’s Timing is Perfect
Jesus deliberately delayed going to Bethany, arriving four days after Lazarus’ death. This seemed like a delay, but it was part of God’s plan to reveal His power. In your life, delays may not be denials—they may be setting up a greater testimony.
3. Faith Unlocks Miracles
Jesus asked them to roll away the stone before He called Lazarus out. Though the situation seemed impossible, obedience led to a breakthrough. Sometimes, our faith requires action before we see God’s power.
4. Jesus Shows Compassion
Even knowing He would raise Lazarus, Jesus wept (John 11:35). This shows that God deeply cares for our sorrows and walks with us in our grief.
5. Spiritual Resurrection
Just as Lazarus was raised from physical death, Jesus offers spiritual resurrection to those trapped in sin, despair, or hopelessness.
