The Steed of Dawn

The steed of dawn has neighed, and a Muslim has tightened its reins,
Shining like the full moon, charging like the spear of victory,
Like an angry wave surging across the land in turmoil.

It calls out: "O Mosque, I sacrifice myself for you!
I am a shield for the one who proclaims Oneness,
I am fire upon the aggressor, a rifle in the hands of the defender.
My sun shines upon my day and my past,
I do not slumber, nor do I fear. My light guides even the blind.
How strong I am with God, with the love of God and piety!"

The steed of dawn races, its breath laboured, its hooves blazing,
Its hooves exude the fragrance of amber,
More fragrant than musk and sweet-smelling herbs,
As if its mane were adorned with diamonds—
Strong in heart, yet sensitive in soul.

جواد الفجر

جَوَادَ الْفَجْرِ قَدْ حَمْحَمَ وَشَدَّ لِجَامَهُ مُسْلِمْ
كَوَجْهِ الْبَدْرِ مُؤَتْلِقًا كَرُمْحِ النَّصْرِ مُنْطَلِقَا
كَمَوْجٍ غَاضِبٍ غَضَبًا يُعَمِّ الْأَرْضَ مُضْطَرِبَا

يَنَادِي فَدَيْتُ يَا مَسْجِدْ أَنَا دِرْعٌ لِمَنْ وَحَّدْ
أَنَّ النَّارَ عَلَى الْعَادِي أَنَا الرَّشَّاشُ لِلْفَادِي
أَنَا مَنْ شَعْشَعَتْ شَمْسِي عَلَى يَوْمِي عَلَى أَمْسِي
فَلَا أَغْفُو وَلَا أَخْشَى وَضُوئِي يُبْصِرُ الْأَعْشَى
أَنَا بِاللَّهِ كَمْ أَقْوَى بِحُبِّ اللَّهِ وَالتَّقْوَى

جَوَادَ الْفَجْرِ عِدَاءٌ لَهُ ضَبْحٌ وَإِيرَاءُ
سَنَابِكُهُ مِنَ الْعَنْبَرِ يَفُوحُ أَرِيجُهَا أَعْطَرْ
مِنَ الْمِسْكِ مِنَ الْإِذْخِرِ كَأَنَّ بُرْهُجَهَا الْأَزْهَرْ
كَأَنَّ بِعُرْفِهِ الْأَلْمَاسُ قَوِيٌّ قَلْبُهُ حَسَّاسُ

اللهم اجعله خالصًا لوجهك الكريم.
