The pre-Islamic Arabs' chief deity, Hubal, was a pagan idol, and their rituals were steeped in idolatry. The Arabic Bible's use of "Allah" to refer to God does not equate the Islamic conception of Allah with the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible is revealed as a Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinct from the Islamic portrayal.

The practices surrounding the Kaaba, including the veneration of Hubal, underscore the pagan origins of these rituals. The account of Abdul Muttalib's near-sacrifice of his son Abdullah to Hubal highlights the stark contrast between these practices and the faith exemplified by Abraham, who obeyed God's command without resorting to divination or idol worship. This narrative demonstrates the moral and spiritual superiority of the biblical faith over pre-Islamic Arabian practices.​

Isaiah 44:9-10 – All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless.​

1 Corinthians 8:4 – We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one.​
