Chiropractors & Clients Neglect Individualized, Root Cause Ortho-Molecular Nutrition Strategies

D.D. Palmer defined chiropractic as “a science of healing without drugs.” Today, approximately 60,000 chiropractors practice in North America, and billions are spent worldwide on their services each year.

However, the cost-effectiveness of chiropractic treatment has yet to be definitively established. Additionally, some chiropractors have faced criticism for operating "adjustment mills," which resemble modern factories with an overwhelming number of appointments.

There is also a notion that many clients become conditioned, or even indoctrinated, to view chiropractors as quasi-religious figures, believing that regular visits will cleanse them of their lifestyle transgressions.

While chiropractic principles are rooted in systems biology, the therapeutic advantages remain unproven beyond reasonable doubt. A notable concern arises when practitioners try to integrate the ambiguous concept of "nutrition" into their services.

Many clients, along with some practitioners, misinterpret this idea, perceiving it as simplistic and poorly articulated. They often mistakenly equate it with merely choosing "healthy foods," whereas orthomolecular nutrition is more comparable to the extensive training a botanist receives to maintain plant health.
