Mass Reading Reflection for Monday, March 31, 2025

Fourth Week of Lent (Year B) are Isaiah 65:17-21 (first reading), Psalm 30:2, 4-6, 11-13, and John 4:43-54 (Gospel)

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel brings the nobleman’s plea—‘Come down and heal my son,’ he cries, and Thou answerest, ‘Go, your son lives.’ Bishop Sheen taught, ‘Faith sees beyond signs to the Sign-Maker.’ Isaiah sings of new heavens, where Thou, O Lord, wipest tears and makest joy. St. Charbel, who trusted Thy word in solitude, bids you believe without seeing today. The man’s faith saves his child, for Thou, O Lord, art the healer of all that’s broken. This Lent, trust His promise over your doubts—speak one hope to Him in prayer. Let your belief, like the nobleman’s, bring His life to your house.”
