The Calaveras Connection; Trash on Demand.

STOCKTON 3-31-2025/ The Calaveras Connection; Trash on Demand.
So after reading about clean-up efforts on the Calaveras River this weekend my curiosity got the best of me and I headed out to see for myself if things looked any different from my last report a month ago. I wanted a full perspective so I ambled down both River Road on the south side and Brookside Road on the flip side, eyes peeled for the dirt they’d stirred up since my last look. The video I shot tells the tale, but let me spill the beans: if trash is king, there’s a kingdom down there. Evidence of illegal dumping lay thick as a two-bit hustler’s excuses, and wedged in among the refuse were the vagrants, squatting like they owned the place, using the river as their personal latrine.
Now the mayor wants to recruit volunteers to clean up the mess, but I had a notion of my own: why not get those same vagrants in on the action? After all, they’re the ones who’ve been pitching their tents and bringing the chaos to the riverbank. And if we’re handing out community service for the lowlifes caught red-handed dumping garbage, let’s send ‘em out there with some trash bags instead. Summer’s creeping up, and when those weeds catch fire, so will the problems—more tents sprouting like weeds if we let it slide. That stretch needs a good clean sweep, and I’m not just talking trash; it’s high time to clear out the human debris too. FYI: for those interested this shit-show is playing daily in council district 4, and I’m being nice because of the holidays so I won’t mention any names-yet.
