Originally from Lithuania, Vida had often heard that America is a bad place and Americans are not very nice people. She’s not the first foreigner I’d heard that from. There’s been many, especially those visiting Mexico. I think it may stem from the fact that the U.S. is always invading other countries militarily. But through Vida’s multiple rides with me across America she’s come to see that this fallacy is simply not true. In fact, she has come to love the U.S. and it’s people as well.
It just goes to show that one never really knows another people until he/she comes to their land to spend time in their company.
This video is simply another example of true American hospitality.
