Using The Language of the Day to Turn People Heavenward

Pastor James Pittman has a passion for equipping the saints to be ambassadors outside the church. This has sometimes been done in provocative ways. He and the church, in partnership with others, have started quarterly Town Hall type meetings to engage in cultural issues from a biblical perspective which includes Q&A discussion. The electric sign in front of the church sometimes raises controversy, with messages like, “Heaven has Strict Immigration Laws. Hell has Open Borders…” What does it mean to use the language of the day to turn people heavenward?
