New York Jackson-Hewitt Tax Service Helps Illegal Aliens to Get Tax Refunds

According to a recent social media claim, certain tax preparation services may be covertly coaching illegal aliens on how to obtain large IRS refunds, which may be worth thousands of taxpayer dollars, while millions of law-abiding Americans complete their taxes.

Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services was observed distributing educational brochures outside the Roosevelt Hotel, now a migrant shelter, in Midtown Manhattan, according to independent journalist Savanah Hernandez. According to the footage, the posters explain how non-citizens can get $7,650 for one child, $12,635 for two children, and $14,255 for three. The instructions made no reference to legal residency or employment status.
