Draining Georgia’s GOP Swamp: The Battle for Party Control in 2025

The fight to drain Georgia’s political swamp zeroes in on the GA GOP Inc., with a critical election for state party officers set for June 2025 in Dalton, GA. Exposing corruption is the mission, but time’s running out if swamp removal stalls. Candidates had until March 15, 2025, at 5 p.m. to submit a letter of intent and political resume—rules so loose a napkin scribble qualifies. Current Chair Josh McKoon and Salleigh Grubbs, former Cobb GOP chair, run as a tight-knit team for Chair and 1st Vice Chair, allegedly manipulating elections to cling to power. Debbie Dooley’s vicious attacks sidelined Sophia Farooq, a Muslim candidate for Cobb County GOP chair, revealing elite bias. Meanwhile, Lisa Pierce’s bid for 1st Vice Chair hits a wall—despite meeting the deadline, she’s excluded from the ballot, echoing Democratic tactics to block Trump. McKoon’s rumored enemies list and efforts to rig a three-way race against Grubbs fuel suspicions of a cover-up, with communication shrouded by the party’s private status. Pierce campaigns on a Trump-aligned America First platform, demanding transparency as the swamp fights back.

The goal is to drain the swamp and expose the corruption in GA at any costs. We are making headway. The first level of the swamp in GA is the GA GOP Inc. There is an election for the state party officers in June in Dalton GA. If we don’t start swamp removal then the odds grow dim in making it happen.
March 15th at 5pm you had to submit your letter of intent to run and political resume to run off a GA GOP office. The way the rules are written you can take a napkin and write intent to run and sign your name and same with your political resume and be accepted according to the rules. Josh McKoon is the current chair and Salleigh Grubbs is the over 80 chair and the former chair of the Cobb GOP. Salleigh and Josh are running as a team, Josh as chair and Salleigh as 1st Vice Chair. There is nothing tied to Salleigh Grubbs that Josh McKoon is not aware of, they are a team.
Debbie Dooley went after Sophia Farooq who was running for Cobb Co GOP chair. The elite in Cobb county do not want a Muslim to run the party. So the attacks by Debbie Dooley were vicious and they found another candidate. Josh and Salleigh will do anything to manipulate and alter an election. Salleigh Grubbs knows what happened in Cobb County.
Josh McKoon will keep an enemies list. If you make Josh mad. GOP candidate forum in Gainesville. Josh will not be there. But there are 3 people in the forum for 1st vice chair. Now Salleigh doesn’t think she can win in a 3 person race. Last election for 1st vice chair there were 3 people on the ballot and BKP won who had never held a party position. They have to stop the 3 person race and stop opponents that are the threat. Lisa Pierce is not on the official ballot.
Remember all the attempts the democrat states did to keep Trump off the ballot. Now republicans would never do that right?
For a candidate to run the candidate must submit a notice of candidacy and political resume to the State Secretary at GRP headquarters. There is nothing in the rules that tell you what the notice and resume should have or include. The deadline is March 15, 2025 at 5pm. Then you have to go before the nominating committee. At 4:39pm on March 15, Lisa Pierce sent in her intent and resume. Karen Hentschel, Accounting Director with the gagop, acknowledged that she got it at 4:49pm. All communication goes to Karen Hentschel. 9 days later on March 24th, did Josh discuss this with his closest allies. We need to see ALL communication between Josh and his allies including Salleigh Grubbs, but you can’t because it is an Inc and is not accessible to open records requests. Lisa Pierce would be running against Salleigh Grubbs. We need to see if Lisa Pierce and how to stop her from running. Now all communication is coming from Karen Hentschel. John White will interpret the rules as Josh sees fit. Lisa Peice has sent them a notification that she expects to be on the ballot. She is campaigning for the position. On March 20th, Lisa posts that she is running for 1st Vice Chair supporting Trump and his America First Agenda laying out all the reasons why the GA GOP under the direction of Josh McKoon has kept her from being on the ballot despite following all the rules and meeting all the deadlines.
