Last week there was a special election in PA. The party is going to lead you to believe they are Go MAGA Go but the party wants to go back to traditional candidates. The media is losing their mind that Trump says he is talking about a third term. This is not upsetting democrats, but really upsetting the “party”. Lara Trump is not in the RNC any longer. The GOP is meeting all over the country wanting to have those traditional candidates.
In Wisconsin it is about voting rights. There are rules in every state that apply to special elections. US Senators are not considered representatives by our constitution and should not be voted on by the people. The US Senators the governor appoints. But the US representatives there have to be an election. If Elise Stafanik had resigned, the NY would have had to set a special election and NY made some moves that sent alarm bells that stopped her appointment.
Florida’s special elections give Trump GOP leaders more reason to sweat slim House margins. This is what they are trying to spin. These elections will indicate the turnout of Trump not being on the ballot. We need to study the turnout in every Trump district without Trump on the ballot.
The FL 6 should go red, but they will spin if they can get their message on target. The FL 1 used to be a Joe Scarbrough district but it was Matt Gaetz. Both districts should go to the republicans. But democrats are spending 4 to 1 in these districts, why are they spending the money in districts that are not winnable. The money they are spending is research data and allows the media to spin a narrative for 2026.
