The star of a Broadway show, which is about to open, is brutally murdered. Lots of people have a motive. Late afternoon a Metropolitan theater, its auditorium is empty and its half lighted stage is bare except for several dozen folding chairs and a few rough tables that have been used for a rehearsal.
