Kerosene Heater Fuel Line Replacement

My kerosene heater stopped working, again. The fuel line keeps splitting at the ends. I upgraded to a larger ID fuel line and put hose clamps on the end to maybe help eliminate the splitting. Factory seems to have been 1/4". I went to 3/16".
