Standing boldly?

The world encourages us to build self-confidence, often through cute messages like “God don’t make no junk.” However, for Christians, true worth is found in Christ, not in ourselves. The Bible teaches that we are born dead to sin and unable to find merit apart from Jesus. Without Him, we cannot have real self-respect or confidence.

Think about it. Can true self-worth and confidence be found in ourselves, or is it only through Christ and His perfect merit that we gain real value?

God’s Word: “And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, but that which is through faith in Christ (Philippians 3:9).”

When life fills us with fear and uncertainty, our true confidence is found in Christ. Despite daily attacks from the world, the devil, and our own sinful nature, with Christ in us, we can stand boldly. Though sin has corrupted God's perfect creation, He redeems and uses our lives for good, giving us the hope of eternal life.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34) (thispassinday@gmail.com)
