Why do Lutherans observe Saints days? Why St. Titus Day?

To be straight up with you. IT IS QUITE CONTROVERSIAL. In 1343 AD, a view emerged that there was a bank with a treasury of merits. The thought was that people added to the bank on earth. Jesus put most in. Then Mary. Then other saints. And this was a huge spiritual slush fund that you could access through your hard work and your prayers so that you could get time out of purgatory.
