Mass Reading Reflection for Sunday, March 30, 2025
Fourth Sunday of Lent (Year B)—and the Catholic Mass readings are 2 Chronicles 36:14-16, 19-23 (first reading), Psalm 137:1-6, Ephesians 2:4-10 (second reading), and John 3:14-21 (Gospel)

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel shines with Thy promise—‘God so loved the world, He gave His Son.’ Bishop Sheen exulted, ‘The Cross is Thy love lifted high, a beacon in our night!’ Chronicles weeps for Judah’s fall, yet Thou, O Lord, stirrest Cyrus to free Thy people. St. Charbel bids you walk from darkness to Thy light today—choose love over sin. Paul writes, ‘By grace you are saved’—for Thou, O Lord, art rich in mercy, seating us with Thee. On this Sunday, gaze upon the Cross, for Thou art the light that judges not to condemn, but to save. Let your heart believe, and live in His radiant truth.”
