30 years ago my friend presented this book to me to read. At that time in my life I was unmotivated, depressed, an over-all wet-blanket to interact in any situation. I thought I was being a realist. I wasn't.
Over the years there've been books I've read which have had a positive impact on how I interact with the world and those within. This book, to some, may come off as heavy on religious themes and scripture: to those who are resistant, take notes of the scriptures cited and read them for yourselves, you may find that those verses are useful. A tool which is designed to assist one in their development, to motivate them into becoming competent is a good tool. This book was transformative for me to recognize how I was speaking into existence my reality. Once I learned how that was being done, I did as the author suggested, and weeded the garden that was my mind of the negative thoughts. It wasn't overnight, but since having began that process about 30 years ago, my life has improved dramatically, and, in short time. After reading, I was the lead of theatrical production. Soon after, I was hired at, which to this day, I still believe to be one of the best jobs I've ever had. After that, I bought a house. All within 5 years.
