Manatee In The Backyard

They have been here about a month, obviously mating.

When I lived in Alaska one of the great things was having Brown Bears, Black Bears, Moose, Lynx, Coyotes, Snowshoe Hares, Sandhill Cranes, Eagles, Great Horned Owls and Gyrfalcons in the backyard (and front yard). I love living with wildlife.

I'm fortunate that where I now live in Florida, because I'm right on the water, in my backyard I have Manatees, Dolphins and Martins as well as all the fish species around my dock that I have yet to fish for including Snook and Redfish I'm sure. Might even get Tarpon in soon, I know they come as close as the homes nearest the Indian River (which is saltwater).

Working on one of my diving videos today I looked out into the backyard and spotted all the manatees right behind my boat. Out I rushed with my iPhone and this is what I captured. Music for the video had to be romantic of course. Hope you enjoy the video.
