John Doyle believes in God Because God chose him to be “successful”

This clip from his interview here is so incredibly un-relatable. Basically he didn’t actually believe in God until he felt so self-important that he thinks he was appointed by God to be so successful. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Sanctification through suffering and adversity is how saints are made. I’ve never heard of someone in history being sanctified by being way too successful way too easily. It’s through hardship and trials that we are united to the cross and it is perseverance through those trials that forms us into the soldiers for Christ we are supposed to be. That’s typically how God raises people up.
This take reeks of prosperity gospel vibes.
I think that someone who preserves under persecution is someone who’s truly united to Christ. He never gives us more than we can handle, so our level of suffering coordinates to how much God believes in our potential to triumph and never abandon him.
Having an easy life is not a compliment from God is He sees that that’s what’s necessary for you to remain with Him.
