PokeWilds: episode 4, evolution

PokeWilds is a freeware fangame that's not an official Pokémon product. I'm playing with mods. This fangame is alright without mods, but very few of the Pokémon in the base version have good move pools.

Pokémon have field moves based on type and in some cases species. All fighting-types can use the field move "build" which constructs objects in the world. All ground-types can use the field move "dig" which excavates a ground tile and can place down a ground tile if there's a hole in the ground. Not all flying-types can use the field move "fly" to lift above the ground and travel around more easily. All grass-types and some other Pokémon can use the field move "cut" to cut down trees, grass, and buildings such as your own fences or objects already present in the world.

Team building in a Pokémon fangame is always important, but in PokeWilds there's two questions: are you carrying the field moves you need, and are you carrying Pokémon that you like? You can go home and switch out what's in your party, but if you're only carrying Pokémon as HM slaves or field move slaves then you won't have as much interest or attachment to them. There's no gyms or champion to worry about on a deserted island, so use what you want.
