March 30, 2025, Ephesians 6:10-20 (Live)

Streamed on:

Ephesians 6:10-11, reminder that God gives the strength to overcome evil, and believers will be fighting spiritual warfare from a position of victory, for God has already won the battle. However, the enemy will continue to fight out of disbelief and bitterness until the day he runs out of time.
Ephesians 6:11-13, if believers remember to take spiritual warfare seriously and stand firm with God, they will continue on in God's victory.
Ephesians 6:12, the reminder of where believers should focus their efforts in spiritual warfare, and where the real enemies are. The real enemies want people to continue fighting each other, and not war against the spiritual realm of darkness.

Ephesians 6:14, wearing truth closely. The enemy is the father of lies, therefore he will be aiming to attack the truth.
2 Corinthians 5:21, the truth of righteousness in the believer's heart: a heart that needs to be stout behind the breastplate. Believers need to live in the righteousness of Jesus Christ in order to survive spiritual warfare. That is their strength. Living according to the world is weakness, creating a vulnerability that invites darkness in.

Ephesians 6:15, the gospel of peace is a firm foundation. Shoes of this nature will prevent believers from being pushed around and loosing claimed ground in spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:16, Hebrews 11:1, faith is acting like God is always telling the truth (well of course He is, but people have doubts about things they cannot easily perceive), trusting God, and obeying all of God's instructions and help. Trusting in the truth prevents the lies from piercing through.

Ephesians 6:17, Luke 4, 'it is written'. Jesus fought the devil with the word of God. The words sliced through the lies and forced the father of lies to flee. In order to properly fight with the sword of God, believers need to remain sound in their mind within the helmet.

Ephesians 6:18, locking arms together with God and not fighting alone.

Ephesians 6:19-20, Paul encouraged the church to pray for him as he was at the front-lines. This reminds the church that they are not fighting alone.
