The Goal Post Episode 55 - Pierre Curie and Henri Becquerel

Alright we're back after 4 weeks. Today's episode we start off with talking about the disastrous results of the new Snow White movie, how Rachel Zegler's career is essentially over due to it, and we branch off into DEI and Woke and how it seemed to rear its head around 2016 whereas in the 90s they were still able to make decent shows etc even with some emphasis on the “diversification” of characters.

We then talk about the woke notion of “cultural appropriation” and we contend both that the accusation is one-sided (cultural integrity for them but not for the West) and that exchange of the best of cultural qualities is organic and natural and nothing worth complaining about. We cite a few examples too.

In today's segment of Great Men in History we talk about two men: Pierre Curie (husband of Marie who usually gets most if not all the credit for the discovery of polonium and radium) and Henri Becquerel the discoverer of radioactivity. We speak more at length about radioactivity in general, its medical uses and its mishandling namely regarding the Demon Core and the Therac-25 incidents.
