Headed to Halibut Cove for coffee - Alaska Bush Flying

As far as I know my friend and I are the only ones to ever land a wheel plane at Halibut Cove Alaska. Reason being there is no strip or level ground and the approach is a constant turn to landing. We land on a very steeply sloping short beach at low tide. Have coffee and then leave as the tide comes in. Because of the steep slope it doesn't take long for the beach to be underwater. The tides are some of the highest in the world, almost 30 feet at times.

This type of flying has dangers. Don't try this without first receiving instruction from a competent off airport pilot.
