DC beat SRH by 7 wickets in the 10th Match of IPL-25.
The 10th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at Dr Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium Visakhapatnam on 30th March, 2025. In this match Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets. In this match Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first.
Sunrisers Hyderabad while batting first were all out at 163 runs in 18.4 overs and gave target of 164 runs to Delhi Capitals to win. In reply Delhi Capitals scored 166 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 16 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started badly and lost four wickets early at the score of 37 runs in 4.1 overs only. Abhishek Sharma was first to go run out in the very first over of the match and scored only one run.
Ishan Kishan was second to go out caught by Tristan Stubbs of the bowling of Mitchell Starc after scoring only 2 runs. Nitesh Kumar Reddy was next to go without scoring caught by Axar Patel of the bowling of Mitchell Starc.Then Mitchell Starc removed dangerous Travis Head who scored 22 runs from 12 balls hitting 4 fours.
Then Ankit Verma with Henry Klaasen batted cautiously and added 77 runs from 42 balls for the fifth wicket. Henry klaasen made 32 runs from 19 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes. Pat Cummins made 2 runs, Abhinav Manohar contributed 4 runs and Ankit Verma played a gem of innings of 74 runs from 41 balls hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes.
Harshal Patel made 5 runs and Mohammed Shami remained not out on one run. Mitchel Starc bowled well and took 5 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets and one wicket was taken by Mohit Sharma.SRH scored 163 runs all out in 18.4 overs only.
In reply DC scored 166 runs for 3 wickets in 16 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.The openers Faf du Plesis and Jake Fraser -McGurk added 81 runs in 9.1 overs for the first wicket and laid solid foundation for win. Faf du Plesis was first to go out caught by Wian Mulder of the bowling of Zeeshan Ansari scoring top score of 50 runs from 27 balls hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes.
Jake Fraser-McGurk was second to go out after scoring 38 runs from 32 balls hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes. KL Rahul contributed 15 runs from 5 balls only and was bold by Zeeshan Ali.
Abishek Porel remained not out on 34 runs from 18 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes and Tristan Stubbs remained not out on 21 runs from 14 balls hitting 3 fours. DC won the match by 7 wickets. Mitchell Starc was adjudged the Player of the Match.
