A Baby Monitor Is a Great Idea

Don't mind my desk. It is a mess and I straightened it up two days ago 😭
Anyway, I bought the boys a baby monitor. It has night vision and I can hear them. Unfortunately, I can't record with it or scan the room like I can with the pet cam.
This is mainly for night time after we go to bed because cockatiels can have night frights from thunder, high winds and any bump in the night that is startling. Sunny Boy has fallen from his perch before but we aren't sure exactly why. His flat perch is his favorite place to sleep and it is pretty slick.
We sleep upstairs, so we wouldn't be able to hear if anything was going on. Even though we go to bed around 1-2 AM Jim gets up with the dogs a few hours later and then he sleeps on the couch. So the boys aren't downstairs by themselves for very long.
This is to give me some peace of mind and to be able to get to my boys quickly in case of an emergency, like a house fire, a break in or a night fright.
