Learning To Towel Your Parrot

I think we did well today in regards to restraining Sunny Boy. This was only my second time doing it as I have been researching, reading and watching videos on how to do it properly.
The towel that I am using is his bath towel, I don't use any other towels, just this one so that he gets used to it. Which he is.
I was able to finally apply organic coconut oil on his feet and almost his entire beak. He let out a strange noise so I released him immediately.
While I had him restrained he at first kicked his feet but not for long because I gave him my finger to hold on to and then he held his feet on his own.
I made the mistake of restraining him with my dominant hand at first so I had to switch over to my left hand in order to apply the coconut oil.
I know that the towel is very thick and it kinda looks like my finger and thumb aren't where they should be, under his beak. I did move him around just a little to be sure. He has a little bit of a long neck even though it doesn't look like it when he is dry.
He sat still long enough for me to take a couple of pictures.
What I find strange is this new behavior after his bath because he has never done it before until recently. He appears happy and energetic to play.
Even though I know this wasn't a perfect restrainment I am proud of him and myself 🥰.
Way to go Sunny Boy 🩵 Momma loves you so much ❤️
