Surviving our First Texas Thunderstorm! Plus Shortcut Fried Rice Recipe

Hello we are Marge and Dave! We’re empty nesters married for over 31 years and live a fun and adventurous life with our dogs Pixie and CJ. We recently moved from California to Texas and are slowly getting used to Texas living. Check out our weekend adventures as we explore our new community and neighborhood. Last week started off with a strong thunderstorm, and it was pretty chilly and windy all week with scattered showers all week long. A wolf spider managed to get in the house but Dave caught it and released it back outside. In spite of the wild weather, we managed to get our daily steps and walk the dogs in between the rain and wind. On Saturday Dave had to go back to California to visit his parents so I checked out the local Whole Foods market and then made some fried rice.
