The game begins with a kickoff, and players use their feet, head, and other parts of their body (except their hands and arms) to control, pass, and shoot the ball. The goalkeeper is the only player allowed to use their hands but only within their penalty area. The match is officiated by a referee, assisted by assistant referees and, in some cases, VAR (Video Assistant Referee) for crucial decisions.
