Rescuers are searching for survivors trapped under the rubble of buildings and bridges after Myanmar and Thailand were hit by an earthquake. The epicenter of the magnitude 7.7 quake was near Myanmar's second-biggest city, Mandalay. An analysis by the US Geological Survey indicates that thousands of people could have been killed - but the official death toll currently stands at 144. The tremor also shook neighboring Thailand, where at least 6 people have been killed and dozens more are missing.
