A pair of schwere Panzer-Abteilung 504 Tigers abandoned at Larderello in Italy on June 25th 1944

As schwere Panzer-Abteilung 504 retreated in Italy in the face of advancing Allied forces, the long march took its toll on their heavy vehicles and several Tigers were abandoned along the way after breaking down.

In this case Tiger 133 is at the side of the road while Tiger 201 is at an awkward angle. Both vehicles are missing their tracks, likely recovered to be used as spares for the remaining tanks. The vehicles attracted the interest on a US cameraman who captured this footage on June 27th, two days after the vehicles were abandoned.
