On 27 March, a construction “company” Melissa Group demolished a house in Baku’s Yasamal district while residents were still inside.

These works were carried out without proper permission.

Ministry of Internal Affairs began investigation of the illegal demolition of residential buildings in Baku and Three were detained.

Azerbaijan's President Aliyev met with Israeli President Herzog in February 2024, reaffirming bilateral relations.

Both countries share concerns about regional security, particularly regarding Iran, which they view as an existential threat.
