This is a very an intriguing look back into the history recorded in a Noah Webster unabridged dictionary from 1872. Take a glimpse into what they believed at that time. It contains events that date back to the 5th century and earlier.

Characters, details of events, songs, electricity, where Gotham was, the story of The Wandering Jew, a female Pope and a Protestant Pope (??), timelines of stories from then 11th century, who did they think Lucifer was, where was the Mason Dixon line, who wrote the song Dixie and what was it about, who was Moloch, what did they think about the Mormons, where did they think th Holy Land was located, what was Abe Lincolns nickname... and so much more. There are a couple of thousand pages in this dictionary. This is Part 1... more to come! STAY TUNED!

This information is a glimpse into the time period. No claims are made of the accuracy of the accounts recorded in it. It is merely a glimpse into its content as printed in 1872.
