How could I let myself fall down this rabbit hole? Oh well, at least it makes for a pretty thought provoking episode.(I think) Types and Shadows... Is America and Rome's paths parallel? Too many similarities for it to be just coincidence, no? Sample: The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon, published in 1776, the same year as America's Independence. Coincidence? Maybe...So much to explore, so little time.
