Welcome one and all to Pacific414 Pop Talk for Sunday March 30, 2025!

Today, we celebrate the thirty-fifth anniversary of one of the greatest comic book adaptations of the 1990's by watching the very first and arguably the best live action movie of them all when it comes to adapting the works of original creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's 1984 Mirage comic book series that inspired the 1987 cartoon that helped to launch Turtle Mania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Released on March 30th 1990, this Golden Harvest film released by New Line Cinema was groundbreaking for its time when it used animatronics created by the late Jim Henson and his company Jim Henson's creature Shop and suit actors to bring our hero's in a half shell, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo to life on the silver screen!

Watch as Leonardo (voiced by Brian Tochi) Raphael (Voiced by Josh Pais) Donatello (voiced by Corey Feldman) and Michelangelo (voiced by Robbie Rist) fight to rid New York City of a massive crimewave as the four turtles search for their master, a rat named Splinter with the help of local news reporter April O' Neil (Judith Hoag) and the vigilante crime fighter Casey Jones!
