Dead to self is about to have an entirely new meaning...

We covered how to be dead to ourselves in the Past / Present / Future perspective, but now we're going to discuss something foundational for how we look forward...our hope.

The question isn't whether our hope is good or bad.
It's whether or not our hope is in ourselves or in Christ.

There's a beautiful irony we need to embrace when we surrender our hope at the foot of the throne...

God wants us to surrender our hope and exchange it for hope in Christ.
When we do it effectively, God will give us His perspective of Hope AND show us where our work, effort and faith all align with His for a perfect balance.

We're almost done with being dead to self...there's one more lesson after this before we get to Ephesian Armor. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Those that have an ear, let them hear what the Lord is saying.
