Mass Reading Reflection for Friday, March 28, 2025
Third Week of Lent (Year B) are Hosea 14:2-10 (first reading), Psalm 81:6c-11ab, 14, 17, and Mark 12:28-34 (Gospel)

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel brings the scribe’s question—‘Which is the first commandment?’—and Thou answerest, ‘Love the Lord with all your heart.’ Bishop Sheen exulted, ‘Love is the law that writes all laws!’ Hosea pleads, ‘Return to Thee, O Lord,’ for Thy mercy heals the wayward. St. Charbel, who loved Thee with every breath, bids you pour out love to one soul today. The Lord saith, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’—in this, you draw near His kingdom. This Lent, let your heart burn with His twofold love, for Thou, O Lord, art its source and end.”
