Hondo (1953)

Set during the Apache Wars, Hondo comes across a woman, Angie (Geraldine Page), and her young son, who are living alone on a remote ranch. As tensions rise with local Apache tribes, Hondo becomes their protector, caught between his own loyalty to the cavalry and the understanding of the Apache’s plight.
