RCB beat CSK By 50 runs in the 8th match of IPL- 25

The 8th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai on 28th March, 2025. In this match Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs. In this match Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru while batting first scored 196 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 197 runs to Chennai Super Kings to win. In reply Chennai Super Kings scored 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 50 runs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru started superbly and their openers batted with authority and added 45 runs in 4.6 overs only and laid solid foundation for the big score.Philip Salt was first to go out stump by MS Dhoni in a flash of the bowling of Noor Ahmad scoring quickfire 32 runs from 16 balls hitting 5 fours and 1 six.
Devdutt Padikkal was second to go scoring 27 runs from 14 balls. Then captain Rajat Patidar played a gem of innings and top scored with 51 runs from 32 balls only hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes.
Virat Kohli scored 31 runs from 30 balls hitting 2 fours and 1 six. Liam Livingstone made 10 runs from 9 balls hitting one six. Jitesh Sharma contributed 12 runs and Krunal Pandya went without scoring.Tim David remained not out on 22 balls from 8 balls only hitting one four and 3 sixes.
Noor Ahmad bowled well and took 3 wickets.Two wickets were taken by Matheesha Pathirana.One wicket each was taken by Khaleel Ahmed and Ravi Chandran Ashwin.
In reply CSK scored 146 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 50 runs. Rahul Tripathi was first to go out caught by Phil Salt of the bowing of Josh Hazlewood scoring only 5 runs only.Then Josh Hazlewood removed Ruturaj Gaikwad caught by substitute Manoj bhandage and went without scoring.
Deepak Hooda made 4 runs,Sam Curran 8 runs. Shivam Dubey was bold by Yash Dayal after contributing 19 runs and Yash Dayal bold Rachin Ravindra also who scored 41 runs from 31 balls hitting 5 fours.
Ravichandran Ashwin also went cheaply scoring only 11 runs.Ravindra Jadeja scored 25 runs from 19 balls. MS Dhoni remained not out on 30 runs from 16 balls only hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes.
RCB won the match by 50 runs.Rajat Patidar was adjudged the Player of the Match.
