Dems won't condemn this domestic terror. Do they want acts of violence?
What Jasmine Crockett done is assault.
An independent journalist has filed a police report against Democrat Jasmine Crockett after she appeared to try and knock a cellphone out of his hand.
The Texas Democrat, 43, is now being accused of assault when she reached for and knocked his cellphone Tuesday afternoon.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted to X condemning Crockett, 43, for getting a new Capitol Police escort after she 'assaulted an independent journalist.'
The journalist was asking if she condones violence against Tesla, explained Greene.
In a video of the exchange, Charles Downs films Crockett walking in a House office building while talking to Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn.
Downs can be heard trying to ask Crockett about her participation on an anti-Tesla conference call repeatedly before she looks over and is filmed knocking the camera away from her face.
Greene slammed Crockett who she called the 'face of the Democrat party' for hypocrisy with her new security team after she 'assaulted' Downs.
The independent journalist, who reports for right-wing commentator Laura Loomer, later filed an incident report with the Capitol Police. He also filed a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics.
Downs claims that he was assaulted by the Democrat.
'We are consulting we an attorney over filing a lawsuit for assault, battery and attempted theft against the Congresswoman as well,' Loomer said of the incident.
'It’s clear elected Democrats have embraced violence against Trump supporters and members of the independent media, even in the halls of Congress,' she said in another post.
'Jasmine Crockett, who went out of her way to grab my phone, is now roaming Capitol Hill with additional USCP security,' Downs posted on X on Wednesday.
'It’s astonishing that Representative Crockett can attack a journalist, threaten a United States Senator, and still portray herself as the victim.'
'She’s recently attacked me, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Elon Musk publicly,' the reporter said in another post on X. 'Taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill for her security, so I’m taking action.'
Downs was attempting to ask Crockett about her recent comments urging activists on the 'Tesla Takedown' conference call that she wants 'Elon to be taken down.'
Republicans, like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, said the Democrat's words were akin to 'organizing political violence and terrorism.'
Her latest imbroglio comes on the heels of her highly-publicized insult of paralyzed and wheelchair-bound Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who she called 'Hot Wheels.'
Crockett made the comment during a speech at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles. The group is famous for its support of marginalized communities, like the disabled.
'Ya'll know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, c'mon now, and the only thing hot about him is that he's a hot ass mess, honey,' she told the audience as they cheered and laughed.
The governor was tragically paralyzed from the waist down after an oak tree fell on him while he was jogging in 1984.
Despite this paralysis, Abbott has continued to have a profound political career.
'I am now going off script just so y'all know, this is where things get a little off the rails,' Crocket said, before continuing her speech.
Her slamming Abbott quickly earned her the scorn of Republican lawmakers and conservative commentators who posted their outrage online.
'This woman is trash,' Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk wrote on X.
'It's official: Jasmine Crock-o-sht is the dumbest member of Congress. Even beating out AOC. That's a hell of an accomplishment,' Nick Sorter posted.
'She does know the TX Governor is paralyzed... right? Is she making fun of a paralyzed person? This is horrible,' Matt Van Swol wrote.
Since the call for Elon Musk to be taken down for her birthday, three incendiary devices were found at a Tesla dealer.
Multiple incendiary devices were found at a Tesla dealership in Austin, Texas, on Monday morning, according to the Austin Police Department.
Officers located the “suspicious devices” after responding to a Tesla dealership on U.S. Route 183 just after 8 a.m. local time and called the Austin Police Department Bomb Squad to investigate, police said in a statement.
The devices were determined to be incendiary and were “taken into police custody without incident,” officials said.
The FBI said on Monday that a task force to address the incidents targeting Teslas has been established.
“The FBI will be relentless in its mission to protect the American people. Acts of violence, vandalism, and domestic terrorism — like the recent Tesla attacks — will be pursued with the full force of the law,” the FBI said in a statement to ABC News.
Austin police said it is an ongoing investigation, and had no further information to release at this time.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting in this investigation, according to a spokesperson for the agency, with the FBI leading the efforts.
Recent attacks aimed at Tesla dealerships, vehicles and charging stations have been reported in Las Vegas; Seattle; Kansas City, Missouri; and Charleston, South Carolina, as well as other cities across the United States since Tesla CEO Elon Musk began his role with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.
The bureau has received reports of 48 instances where Tesla dealerships, cars and charging stations have been targeted, a law enforcement source told ABC News.
The FBI said on Friday evening that incidents targeting Teslas have been recorded in at least nine states since January, including arson, gunfire and graffiti.
“These criminal actions appear to have been conducted by lone offenders, and all known incidents occurred at night,” the FBI said in the public service announcement. “Individuals require little planning to use rudimentary tactics, such as improvised incendiary devices and firearms, and may perceive these attacks as victimless property crimes.”
The FBI urged the public to be vigilant and to look out for suspicious activity in areas around Tesla dealerships.
