Genesis 20 tells the story of Abraham’s encounter with King Abimelech of Gerar. Abraham, fearing for his life, once again claims that Sarah is his sister. Abimelech takes Sarah, but before anything happens, God warns him in a dream, revealing the truth. In an act of obedience, Abimelech returns Sarah to Abraham, and God heals Abimelech’s household, lifting the curse that had closed the wombs of his people.
