Shadowfang Keep Walkthrough with DrShiftsAlot - Spooky Druid Fails!
Hey there, adventurers! It’s DrShiftsAlot from ShiftHappensWoW, your resident newbie druid who’s more likely to pounce on a portrait than an actual enemy! Welcome to my Shadowfang Keep (SFK) walkthrough in WoW Classic—a level 22-30 dungeon in Silverpine Forest that’s packed with ghosts, worgs, and way too many jump scares for a druid like me. I’m level 22, barely ready for this, and tackling quests like “Deathstalkers in Shadowfang” and “Arugal’s Folly.” Follow along for a step-by-step guide—I’m a total noob, so expect plenty of laughs, shapeshifting fails, and me sneezing my way through this haunted keep! Let’s get started, and maybe you’ll learn what not to do from my chaos!
Step 1: Quest Pickup - Don’t Get Spooked Before You Start!
Preparation: You’ll need a group—1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS. I’m a level 22 druid, so I’m at the low end of the recommended range—yikes! SFK is a haunted maze, so stick together or you’ll be running in circles like I did (three times!).

Undercity (Apothecary Quarter): Head to the southeast part of the Undercity—look for the green glow and bubbling cauldrons. Find High Executor Hadrec—he’s an undead guy in dark robes, probably plotting something evil. He gives "Deathstalkers in Shadowfang": find Deathstalker Adamant inside SFK. I almost forgot to grab this quest because I was too busy staring at the cauldrons—don’t be me!

Silverpine Forest (The Sepulcher): Fly to the Sepulcher, a creepy graveyard in central Silverpine (coords ~45, 42 if you’ve got a map addon). Look for Deathstalker Vincent—he’s an undead in leather armor, hanging out near the crypt. He gives "Arugal’s Folly": kill Archmage Arugal at the end of the dungeon. I got spooked by a bat flying overhead and almost ran away—already off to a great start!

Step 2: Entering Shadowfang Keep - It’s Already Too Spooky!
Location: Shadowfang Keep is in southern Silverpine Forest—look for a big, haunted castle with tall spires and glowing blue lights (coords ~45, 67). It’s hard to miss, but I still got lost in the forest for 10 minutes because I thought every shadow was a ghost! The entrance is a big wooden door—walk right in, but watch out for wisps. One floated at me, and I swung my staff like a total noob—missed and stumbled, of course!

Action: Form your group—tank, healer, three DPS—and step through the door. The keep is dark, creepy, and smells like old dust—I’m already sneezing, and we haven’t even started fighting!

Step 3: Haunted Stables and Courtyard - Ghosts and Spooky Horses!
Objective: Clear the entry area to move deeper into the keep.

Enemies: You’ll face Wailing Haunts (ghostly undead in tattered robes) and Haunted Servitors (ghostly humans with brooms—yes, brooms!). They patrol in packs of 2-3, so don’t pull too many at once—I learned that the hard way when I accidentally aggroed three packs!

Action:
Have your tank pull 2-3 mobs at a time. Focus on the Wailing Haunts first—they wail for 40-60 damage and are squishier. The Haunted Servitors swing their brooms for 30-50 damage—less painful, but super creepy! I got so spooked by a skeletal horse neighing that I shifted to bear form and roared at it—total noob move!

Watch your positioning—there’s lots of room to move, but don’t back into another pack. I did that and almost wiped us because I was too busy sneezing from the dust! Clear the courtyard and stables to move on to the dungeon cells.

Step 4: Rethilgore and Finding Deathstalker Adamant - Worgs and Rattling Chains!
Location: Head to the dungeon cells (lower level on the map). It’s a dark hallway with iron bars, glowing blue chains, and cells full of skeletons—super creepy!

Objective: Kill Rethilgore and find Deathstalker Adamant for "Deathstalkers in Shadowfang".

Enemies: Rethilgore is a level 25 worg—a big, black wolf with glowing red eyes. He’s guarding the cells, and there are a few Haunts and Servitors around, so clear them first.

Action:
Clear the trash mobs before pulling Rethilgore. I got spooked by a rattling chain and swung my staff at it—missed and stumbled, of course!

Tank Rethilgore facing away from the group—he bites for 60-80 damage and uses Soul Drain (a blue aura) for 50-70 damage, which can hurt if you’re not ready. Have your tank taunt him, and DPS him down fast. I’m in bear form, clawing away, but I kept jumping at every shadow!

Once Rethilgore is down, he drops a worg fang—I tripped over it trying to loot, because I’m a mess! Deathstalker Adamant is in one of the cells (he’ll appear after the fight). Talk to him to update "Deathstalkers in Shadowfang". I was so relieved to see him, I forgot to shift out of bear form and roared in his face—awkward!

Step 5: Razorclaw the Butcher - Don’t Get Chopped!
Location: Move to the dining hall (middle level on the map). It’s a long room with a broken table, blood-stained walls, and glowing blue chandeliers—definitely not a place I’d eat dinner!

Objective: Kill Razorclaw the Butcher.

Enemies: Razorclaw the Butcher (level 25) is a big undead guy with a cleaver and a tattered apron, guarded by 2 Shadowfang Whitescalps (undead wolves with white fur).

Action:
Clear any trash mobs in the hall first—more Haunts and Servitors. I got spooked by a chandelier dropping a candle and shifted to bear form to roar at it—yep, I’m a total noob!

Tank the Whitescalps first—they bite for 40-60 damage and can overwhelm your healer if left alive. Kill them quick, then focus on Razorclaw. He swings his cleaver for 50-70 damage and uses Butcher Drain (red aura) for 40-60 damage—ow! DPS him down fast. I’m in cat form, pouncing like a pro—well, until I tried to pick up his cleaver after he died. It was too heavy, and I fell on my butt—stick to claws, DrShiftsAlot! Move on to the upper hall once he’s down.

Step 6: Baron Silverlaine and Commander Springvale - Ghosts and Knights, Oh My!
Location:
Baron Silverlaine: Upper hall (upper level on the map)—a grand hallway with broken windows, ghostly portraits, and glowing blue rugs.

Commander Springvale: The battlement (adjacent area)—a stone walkway outside the hall.

Objective: Kill Baron Silverlaine and Commander Springvale.

Enemies:
Baron Silverlaine (level 26) is a ghostly noble with a blue aura and a sword.

Commander Springvale (level 26) is an undead knight with a shield and mace, guarded by 2 ghostly adds.

Action:
Baron Silverlaine: Clear the trash mobs in the hall—more Haunts and some Shadowfang Wolves (40-60 damage). I got freaked out by a winking portrait and pounced on it—missed and hit the wall, because I’m a mess! Tank Silverlaine—he summons a spirit that deals 40-60 damage, so focus him down fast. I’m in bear form, clawing away—he drops a ghostly ring! I tried to wear it, but it was too big and rolled away—I chased it like a fool!

Commander Springvale: Head to the battlement. He’s got 2 ghostly adds—have your healer polymorph one (sheep it!), kill the other (40-60 damage), then tank Springvale. He uses Holy Light to heal himself for 200 HP—interrupt it with a kick or stun, or the fight drags on. I’m clawing in bear form—got him! He drops a shield, but I didn’t try to pick it up this time—I learned my lesson!

Step 7: Archmage Arugal - Final Boss, Final Fails!
Location: Top tower (top level on the map)—a circular room with a glowing blue rune circle, broken windows, and a starry night sky. It’s super creepy, with runes pulsing like they’re about to explode!

Objective: Kill Archmage Arugal for "Arugal’s Folly".

Enemies: Archmage Arugal (level 26) is a human mage in purple robes, with 2 Shadowfang Moonwalkers (black worgs).

Action:
Clear any trash mobs on the way up—more Wolves and Haunts. I got spooked by a pulsing rune and shifted to bear form to roar at it—yep, I’m hopeless!

Polymorph one Moonwalker, kill the other (40-60 damage), then tank Arugal. He casts Shadow Bolt for 70-90 damage—dodge it if you can, or it’ll hurt! He also teleports around the room—watch where he goes! I’m pouncing in cat form—got him after a tense fight! He drops a staff, but I tried to grab it—too heavy, and I fell backward, covered in blue dust! I’m sneezing like crazy—achoo! "Arugal’s Folly" and "Deathstalkers in Shadowfang" are complete!

Step 8: Quest Turn-In - Time to Escape the Ghosts!
Exit: Hearthstone or run back to the entrance—don’t get lost on the way out (I did, twice, because I kept jumping at shadows!).

Turn-Ins:
Undercity: High Executor Hadrec—"Deathstalkers in Shadowfang" (some gold and XP, maybe a nice piece of gear).

The Sepulcher: Deathstalker Vincent—"Arugal’s Folly" (more XP and a reward—I got a staff, but I’m sticking to claws after that last fail!).

Funny Tips from a Newbie Druid
Watch for Jump Scares: This keep is full of spooky stuff—rattling chains, winking portraits, pulsing runes! I jumped at everything and shifted into the wrong form every time—don’t be me!

Interrupt Casters: Springvale and Arugal love to heal or cast big spells—interrupt them, or you’ll be fighting forever. I forgot once, and we almost wiped because I was too busy sneezing!

Don’t Touch the Loot: I tried to pick up Razorclaw’s cleaver and Arugal’s staff—too heavy, and I fell on my butt both times! Stick to what you know, or you’ll end up like me—covered in dust and sneezing!

Stay Close to Your Tank: This place is a maze, and I got lost so many times because I was too busy running from ghosts. Stick with your group, or you’ll be a druid snack for the worgs!

That’s it for Shadowfang Keep! Check out my video for all the spooky fails, and let me know how you did—I need to know I’m not the only one who pounces on portraits!
