Wellness Wednesday with Wendy Clarke - Dementia: is it forever?
On the 26th of March we were delighted to welcome Wendy Clarke to talk to us about her mother's journey with Dementia from a daughter's perspective.
From mercury poisoning to mental decline to medication and eventual diagnosis. What does this mean, and where to from here. Merlyn has journeyed through dietary supplements, to medication and back again. Now she is discovering the value of well-balanced healthy living, and the signs are positive.
How are the lines blurred between ageing and dementia? For Merlyn, loneliness, medication, nutrition and movement have all played a part. Her experience suggests it's not a one-way street and there is hope for a better way to work with dementia if it is treated as a disease and not a permanent condition.
