I was not expecting much for just £11.99, but I have to admit that I have been rather impressed by this little torch from WARSUN. I can't say that the spinning feature appealed to me much at first, but it is the first thing I think about now when writing this review and it is rather neat.

In the box you get the 29 x 29 x 78 mm, 98g torch together with a short little charging cable and a small and rather hard to read but informative user guide. The build quality is first rate and far better than I was expecting. The torch is robust, well-made made from aluminium alloy and is clearly built to last.

On the front is the array of three LEDS, on one side is the gromnett protected USB-C charging port and on the other the combined status LED and control button. On the base is the magnetic mount, which is surprisingly powerful and easily supports the weight of the torch. The torch can be unscrewed mid way to give access to the rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery, which can be removed for replacement or external charging. Holding the torch by the base allows the top to spin freely and holding the top enables the base to spin freely. It is a testament to the build quality that the spinning is free and long lasting with a minimum of friction.

The 800 lumens torch features 3 brightness levels along with strobe and turbo modes. When the torch is locked, short press the button and it enters 'ambient mode' wherein the LED button scrolls through three breathing colours. Short press the button twice to turn the torch on and the torch flashes twice in confirmation. Press once and the torch goes to power level 3, press again to scroll through levels 2, 1 and strobe. Long press to enter Turbo mode, which is insanely bright for the size of the torch and can even burn your skin if held too close for too long. Short press to turn it off.

That's it. This is a great little torch to keep in your car or in your bag to use in emergencies. For the size it is very bright, the battery life is good and the build quality is robust enough for it to care of itself in your toolbox or in the glove compartment.

For the price, this is a great buy.
