AUS POLITICS
Liberal leader Peter Dutton pledged to slash migration by 25 per cent to tackle the housing crisis, lower the cost of gas bills and offer a one-off cut to petrol excise if he is elected Prime Minister. He argued that this would provide financial releif faster than the tax cuts.
The cost of living is the centrepiece of his election pitch, with the opposition leader promising to allow workers to raid their super for up to $50,000 for a house deposit and a plan to deliver cheaper gas, cheaper petrol and reining in inflation.
Mr Dutton said a Liberal Government would also invest $5 billion in essential infrastructure to get stalled housing projects off the ground and unlock 500,000 homes.
“Your electricity bill hasn’t come down by $275, as Labor promised on 97 occasions. Rather, Australians are paying up to $1,300 more than Labor promised.”
After weeks of mixed messaging about the scale of the Coalition’s planned cuts to federal public servants, Dutton confirmed all 41,000 positions created under Labor would be culled.
He said the mass sackings would save the budget $7bn a year “once in place”, and more than $10bn over the forward estimates.

However, US neighbour Canada, which could see its auto industry wrecked, has decided on a new tactic – trolling Trump’s tariffs on billboard throughout states that voted Republican at the election.
Meanwhile, car manufacturers can simply set up factories inside the US to avoid he tariffs like Rolls Royce and Hyundai have announced.

The president's decision to pull her nomination ends two months of limbo for the New York Republican.
Trump said, “I have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress to help me deliver Historic Tax Cuts, GREAT Jobs, Record Economic Growth, a Secure Border, Energy Dominance, Peace Through Strength, and much more, so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
