Mass Reading Reflection for Thursday, March 27, 2025
Third Week of Lent (Year B) are Jeremiah 7:23-28 (first reading), Psalm 95:1-2, 6-9, and Luke 11:14-23 (Gospel)

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel shows Thee casting out demons—‘By God’s finger,’ Thou workest, yet they scoff. Bishop Sheen warned, ‘The devil’s best trick is to deny his own tracks.’ Jeremiah laments, ‘They hearkened not,’ for Thy voice, O Lord, they spurned with hardened hearts. St. Charbel bids you guard your soul today—name one evil you’ve ignored. The Lord saith, ‘Whoever is not with Me is against Me’—there’s no middle ground in this battle. This Lent, stand firm with Him, for Thou, O Lord, art the stronger one who binds the foe. Let your faith drive out doubt, and gather with Him in love.”
